  • That is true. But Jesus is the only perfect man and will always be the only. We are sinners. Yes we are supposed to be like Christ but ppl fall off the wagon, some more than others.

  • Not every religious person is perfect. In fact, no one is. There are people who go to church who beat their children and shoot up drugs, too (not that there aren't any that don't go to church).

  • An old friend of mine used to be exactly like that. She would always brag on how she was "saved" when she was 8 yrs old... (she was baptist) yet she acted like the biggest (excuse the word but really- there's no word I could use that would not be sugar-coating it) whore I knew. Talk about the 7 deadly sins... she posessed heavily the qualities of at least 6 of them: Pride, Envy, Lust, Wrath, Greed, and Sloth. We used to have a lot of good times, but as we've grown in the past 10 yrs I have distanced myself from her... she just seems like a toxic friend now.

  • A word in and of itself is not bad. People think it's bad, therefore it is, but it's really personal opinion. If 2,000 people decided tomorrow that the word "mustard" was a bad word, and it caught on, eventually "mustard" would be right up there with other cuss words. And as far as drinking goes, back in the day, they drank wine a lot, and after that they drank beer and ale, etc. Alcohol has always been a part of life, in whatever form is popular at the time. Drinking in moderation is not a bad thing, and some alcoholic beverages are good for you (red wine for your heart, beer for kidneys). And all those things aside, no one is perfect all the time.

  • There are a lot of religious people in the world, however we are all sinners. Everyone has their own indiviual cross to bear. This is why we should pray for the strength to bear our crosses and are called to also pray for others that struggle with their's. The Lord came to this world to save sinners. That includes everyone.

  • We don't know for a fact the Jesus didn't swear a few times in private nor do we know what the curse words even were 2000 yrs ago in that part of the world. The "bad words" of today didn't exist yet and were mostly originated as normal every day "good words" in another part of the world.

  • Since you didn't start christianity, it's not up to you to say what they can and cannot do.

Their religion, their descisions. It doesn't affect you at all, so leave out of it.

  • A) Words only carry the weight that you give them, there are no "good" or "bad" words.
    B) Jesus drank. Only does the bible tell you not to drink in excess to become drunk, drinking is not a sin.
    C) "Religious" does not mean christian. There are religions too numerous to mention, the word is all inclusive and does not denote a christ based belief system.

    Ditto ^^^^THIS^^^^^

I find most people who claim to be "religious" are saying it for show. They are more concerned with SAYING they are ________ (pick your religion) than actually BEING.
