  • What weakens our military are people that have no idea about it wanting it both ways. They want them to follow these outrageously strict rules and than wonder why so many are coming home in flag draped coffins. For example my husband and his squad chased a combatant for 2 city blocks with another squad moving to help intercept. The man had just detonated 3 IEDs under my husband's patrol vehicles injuring 5 Marines and was stopping behind any building he thought adaquate to shoot one of the 3 AKs he was carrying at the Marines persuing him. Once he came into sight of the other squad and knew he was captured he bent over and laid the weapons and the detonater on the ground. What happened? They had to let him go because he was no longer considered an enemy combatant under the ROEs. A week or two later the same man was killed in a fire fight after leading an ambush with an IED that killed 4 Marines.

  • In the military you have to blend in and not create drama. You work as one and for the mission.

Answer to your question is yes.
