  • Now. Its much easier to buy things throughout the pregnancy rather then buying everything towards the end.

  • I started buying things for both of my kids when I got into my second trimester. It's easier for me to start and slowly buy things.

  • now is fine. If you buy a little at a time, by the time baby comes you will be all set.

  • With my second we bought what we needed AFTER she was born. We still had the biggies (car seat, stroller, crib, highchair were all only 3 years old and no where near expired), we only needed clothes (we had a girl and our first was a boy). She was shy during her 20 week US so I just bought a few layettes and a going home outfit and then got what we needed when we knew for a fact she was a girl. I did however start building up her NB diaper stash as soon as I hear that she could possibly be a girl (we cloth diaper so she could move into our bigger diapers but needed smaller ones right away). I made a few a week and now she's set till she's potty trained...

If I needed more baby "stuff" I would start buying slowly throughout the 2nd and 3rd trimesters so it's not a shock to our budget.

  • I started early just so it wasn't a huge expense right before the baby gets here. Shop away!

  • i typically started after i found out what i was having, but this go around we decided to wait till feb to buy everything beside the crib which we already have, since feb is tax time for us it makes it easier to buy all at once!

  • Just watch the sales and clearance racks and buy things as you find great deals. Start with the necessities and once ou get those then go to the things that are nice to have but aren't absolutely needed.

  • Start now...that way when it's time for the baby to come, you have everything.

  • I'd wait til after the baby shower... other then a crib, I would go ahead and get a crib.
