Oh no it's starting.....

I thought I had 10 years before this would happen...

I just picked my daughter up from the bus (she's 3) I asked "How was school?" She's replies "Fine"

I thought when they were young they tell you every little detail about their day :(

  • Well, at least you can still check on homework. My teens NEVER have any homework.

  • nope, my 4 year old is the same way! she's all excited and happy when i pick her up, and as soon as i drive out of the parking lot and ask how her day was she gives either a "fine" or a "nice". if i continue to press she says "i don't know". my grandma picked her up yesterday cause i was sick and she told me she said "i dont want to talk about it" LOL. i didn't know this started so early on either!

  • Try asking a more direct question.....that is pretty broad. If possible ask your teacher to update you on what they are doing so you can start a conversation. This is so normal! My parents tell me all there kids will tell them is what they had at!
