  • Maybe correct grammar would help them understand you better.

How old are they though? Are they two, or are they closer to being one? In my opinion, two and one year olds have completely different ways. I don't think you should PUNISH a one year old, but a two year old I would punish.

  • Lol at the previous poster. Distraction from the undesired behavior is best for a young toddler. Once they are in the 2 year range though time outs work well.

  • Hahahaha... I have to echo the first poster on the correct grammar..
Do you speak the way you type??

But seriously - much of it depends on age.. But most has to do with your methods..
Are you being a role model, or just barking at your child to "stop it"?
Children of all ages love to explore, and they love to help.. If you are involved in what you want them to do, rather than shouting at them what not to do, they will listen much better.
