what is the best way to dicipline an eighteen month old baby?

She pays close attention to what i say, but is get angry and throw things away!

  • Redirection. She's not doing anything to be bad. Yet. If she's trying to stick something in the trash, take her and get her interested in something else.

  • yes, just redirect...at that age, a lot of the "anger" is just frustration b/c they can't express certain things. the fact that she pays that close attention to you, tells you she wants to be learning, but just not quite sure how to do it, so she shows frustration.
