Is it normal to get an infection after each surgery?

  • No, but it could be that there's something in your normal flora (the bacteria that normally live on your skin) that gets into the incisions while you're healing that is causing an infection. Are you immunocompromised? Do you have a history of MRSA? Diabetes? These can all lead to infection post-op.

  • Not normal that is why they don't do operations on people who are sick. If at all possible.
