Ground Turkey or Ground Beef?

  • Turkey, 100%. We eat very little red meat, and when we do, we make it count. When we DO eat red meat, we have a good steak.

  • Ground beef is better but I mix them up and do them each about 50/50.

  • Ground beef. Ground turkey isn't bad, and it's better for you, but I just can't get over the fact that it looks like beef, but isn't beef. Same reason why I'm not a fan of turkey bacon or sausage either.

  • I very rarely use ground beef. I get the dark meat ground turkey, and add a little Worcestershire and a bit of olive oil. It works in any beef recipe.

  • Depends what it's for. I have certain recipes I prefer turkey for, but otherwise beef or venison. They have a different texture and I don't like the turkey texture for some things.

  • ground venison.. seriously we got 100 pounds this year for free from FIL. No one ever can tell either.
