How long do you warm up your car, in the morning, in cold weather?

Not real cold, maybe 20-40○ F.

  • If the front window is frosted up then I will turn the car on for 10 min. If the windows are clear, then I don't warm it up.

  • 12 minutes, let it run with the defrost for 5 or 6 then go out and scrape the softened snow and/or ice.

  • i don't. it stays in the garage. well, i might turn it on for the few minutes it takes me to get ds buckled in, and run back inside the house to get something i invariable my shoes.

  • With those temps, not at all, especially not just to run the kids to school (it's about a 90 second ride). If it's colder and I need to run errands in another town, 5-10 minutes maybe.

  • Mine sits in a garage and I have electronic start so I just hit the button from inside my house about 5 minutes before leaving to take my daughter to daycare and then off to work. I have about 25 minutes of driving time

  • Yeah, I started mine at 7:20 and I'll go put the kids in at 7:30. I turned on the defrosters and the seat warmers. We're all off to school!

  • 40 is warm, I don't. Today it is 11 with minus 0 wind chill...I warmed it about 10 mins before taking the DD to school and myself to work.
