  • My DS loves Horizon Farms organic milk "juice boxes" in vanilla. He also gets 100% juice, usually apple.

  • When my kids were little, it was pretty much water or milk. Juice was a treat like soda. When they did have juice it was regular juice with sugar or kool-aid. Never a need for my kids to have artificial sweeteners

  • Smoothies - just use yogurt and fruit. They've started selling pre-cut frozen fruit just for that, in resealable pouches. I normally use them just to send the fruit with DS in his lunchbox (they thaw enough to eat but still be cold by lunch), but on weekends we play with the blender.

  • We drink water. You can liven it up with slices of fruit; make ice cubes with blueberry eyeballs, etc.

I would definitely not give crystal lite to children; it is highly toxic.

Too much dairy can leach iron and other nutrients from the body
