  • You need to get help for him ASAP. This is a sign of some serious emotional disturbance.

  • Honey, please take him to a psychologist ASAP, if you do not have insurance our schools have Psychologists for a free evaluation. My son is a sad kid at times and on top of the world at other times. His teacher has already forewarned me that these children are the types that might "cut" in order to "hide" their pain when it doesn't convenience their family members.

  • Run, don't walk your son to the nearest therapist as soon as you can. Cutting is just one in a long line of symptoms of what could potentially be a serious mental health issue. As hard as it may be for you to deal with, put yourself in his. If he ends up needing to be on medication, encourage him to take it, then make sure that he does. There is a light in the tunnel, you just need to get him on the road towards finding it.

    Good luck
