  • I loved my midwife, very friendly, personal. They (to me) seem to truly care about what you want and help you stay focased on your plan

  • The midwife I went to did everything an OB or gyno does - female yearly physicals, prenatal, deliveries (mine only does in-hospital, she's not into the whole homebirth thing), postnatal care, babies in-hospital checkups (regular doctors check them too, they get double-love if they're mommies were midwife patients), pretty much everything except c-sections (but our regular docs don't do them either, surgeons do them) and any truly high-risk stuff - but that all gets referred to bigger hospitals anyway.
