  • Depends on your in laws. For me once a week with my MIL will drive me nuts!

  • It sounds reasonable. Are they wanting more? If so, maybe you could work out an extra day in there. (Maybe they can watch her so you can nap, clean, shop, etc. )

  • this always upset me, not just the MIL but the whole family complained about not seeing our kids enough. Im sorry, cant you take enough time outta your day to come visit your grand kids/ greats ect. I just hated when everyone expected me to cart around my baby while pregnant and later two of them when they were capable of visiting us. always expected us to stay for hrs too. Once a week is fine!

  • It's fine if you want to do this for your husband but the marriage/family is not all about making him happy.

  • i dont think so i let my mother in law see her grand son every other weekend or everyweekend, he stays the night there. but she lives like 45 minutes away

  • Once a week is a privilege for most, at least for my MIL i can only tolerate so much

  • That should be moremthan enough,

  • That's extremely reasonable. Growing up I lived just 5 minutes from my grandparents but my mo couldn't stand my grandmother because she spoiled me and my brother until my cousins were born and then we were pretty much forgotten but wanted us to visit because she'd have my dad do stuff around her house (she didn't trust her husband not to mess up any project he started). My kids usually spend one night a week at my parent's house (they're the only grandkids so far and are spoiled) and at least once a month they go for entire weekend.
