What advice would you have for a person who was just diagnosed with being pre-diabetic?

  • I would highly recommend seeing a dietician. i had no idea how important carbs were and how many different foods had the wrong carbs, etc. I only had to go a few times until I realized what I was doing wrong.

  • Loose weight- Blood sugar will drop if with weight lose-Are they otherwise healthy? If so, exercise and improve diet-more low cal, low fat, unrefined foods.

  • i was diagnosed with it when i was 18, best thing i can say is lose weight, portion control for sure!

  • Watch what you eat! Seeking help from a dietician is good advice. Exercise is also a good way to keep weight down if that's a problem. Hopefully, changing food habits and exercising will keep you from becoming diabetic.
