  • Immdiately, and it's perfectly safe for baby. Once you stop taking the pill it's OUT of your system. The pill ONLY works when taking it. If you had irregular periods before going on the pill you will still have irregular periods off the pill. And just because a woman is regular does not mean she will get pregnant right away, not all coneptions take and sometimes not all the sperm is good.
