babys heart beat?

i went for my 10 week check up today at doc. babys heart beat is 160 .
is the wise tale true about the heart beat telling gender?

  • I don't know if it's true or not, I do know that my girls all had higher heart rates than my son. (They were all always in the high 150's or low 160's...my son's was always in the 140's)

  • I say its true! I have a 9 yr old son whos heart rate was always around 130-140 and my 6 yr old daughter's heart rate was always 150+ as well as my daughter who is now 2yrs old and I am now preg. with a girl and her heart rate also has always stayed around 150 or 160 so its always been right for me. Congrats!

  • Nope. Both of mine were around there, and I've got a boy and a girl. It has more to do with how active baby is and mom's condition (like stress).
