My dad was in the hospital and just got released, he needs help...who should go?

I am sahm that lives 2 and half hours away and I also have a son in school. My sil who is a lot older lives about 40 minutes away does not want to go to help out. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place, because my dad has dementia, a heart condition and needs assistance. I am going Sunday but what should I tell the other loud mouth family members? I went as soon as my father got sick and was there in the emergency room waiting for a room for him and my hubby took the day off. We were gone all day. What should I do ? We are a big family and some have helped out since they live 10 minutes away. Help.. Any advice?

  • Have a family conference and find out exactly who is willing to and can help, then make a schedule. That's what our family did, some can't because of children/school, etc. and distance but those who can, should step up and do what's right…

I hope everything well works out for you and your family. God bless.
