  • My MIL has passed away, but she was NOT a good cook. My husband and his sibs were born in a an "eat to live" family. I was raised in a home where 4/5 are excellent cooks and my mom has wonderful baking skills....we live to eat!

  • I've been with my husband for 7 years and I have never tasted her cooking so I'm sure its me.

  • My SO tells I am. But I've never tried my MIL's food. So God knows:P

  • I honestly don't know. I've only eaten at her house a few Thanksgivings and Christmases. And I'm not sure what she made, what her mother made, or what was brought. I say we're probably about the same. DH said she wasn't the cook growing up, his daddy was.

  • My MIL was a WONDERFUL cook. She just had the knack and the patience to cook the best meals. She died 2 years ago yesterday. My FIL died this past March. My oldest son requested his grandma's cook book that had some of her best recipes written on the inside cover in her handwriting. He loves to cook like she did.

  • She can cook a larger varity of foods that I haven't even attempted. She is a very good cook as well.
I think she outranks me. Only because she's been cooking longer and as stated has a bigger menu of things she can cook.
I can hold my own though.

  • My first MIL was a good cook. The last, well, I was better. I'm Okie, the boyfriend is Italian. I cook the southern, Oriental, Mexican, and he cooks the Italian. If you find someone better at something than you, learn from them. Watch them. It can be fun.
