Kids that shared a room now on their own

Mom that kids shared a room then gave them their own, how did it work for the kids? My 3 yr old and 18 month old have had a room together from day one and now as of tonight they will have their own room.
How did you kiddos handle being separated from each other?

  • Mine were thrilled to get their own rooms lol. My sons shared a room until they were around 10 & 11 yrs old. When we moved into our 5 bdrm they got their own rooms and havent looked back. I cant say they missed each other since they were just across the hall from each other, they loved having their own space.

  • They were SOOOO happy!!! My daughters are 3 years apart, and it was the best thing I did......they wanted to kill each other.....they still do, but at least I can now send them each to their OWN rooms for time-outs, lol....

  • My kids were happy they each got their own room! Two of them were 2 and 3 1/2 when they got seperate rooms and they couldn't have been more excited about it!!
You should only talk to them about the advantages of having their own room in a very perky, excited voice and they will be fine! :)

  • My older 2 kids shared a room until they were 4.5 & 6. Their new rooms were right next to each other, sharing a wall. Now that they are 11 &12 I will move DD upstairs to her own space where she won't have to share a bathroom with her brother. Their little brother will go downstairs to her room.
