  • When they started walking around in public. Until then they pretty much went barefoot, wore socks, or Robeez. Age 2, generally.

  • They have always worn shoes with laces unless they are wearing sandals or crocs. They couldn't tie them until they were in kindergarten.

  • we bought my daughter her first shoes when she started walking at 13 months, and they've always been velcro or buckle closures, or slip-ons. she's now 2.5yo, and we just bought her a pair of little converse lace-up shoes for christmas. i might have done it earlier but she never showed interest in taking her shoes off so it hasn't seemed necessary. now i like the lace-ups because it guards better against the mulch getting into her shoes from her playground.

  • they're teenagers and still don't, we'll neither do I . maybe thqt explains why my oldest didn't tie until he was 10. we just like slip ons better.

  • My 4 yo hasn't yet. All of the shoes she takes an interest in wearing are buckle shoes or velcro gym shoes, so that's what I have been buying her. I let her pick out her shoes when we shop. Hell, even most of my shoes are either slip on gym shoes or zip up boots, lol.
