  • My husband used the South Beach Diet - he could eat a reasonable amount of things, my daughter and I could eat alongside of him (for dinners and things), and Phase III is made specifically for maintenance, so that's not an issue either! He lost 80lbs. Good luck!

  • I would start with simple changes.
    Don’t buy junk food
Walk, or do other exercise, for at least 20 minutes a day, at least 3 times a week.
Make sure that you are drinking enough water, at least 8 8oz glasses a day.
Eat an apple or big pile of veggies before meals.
Eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, in at least 3 different colors.
Eat 5-6 servings of whole grains a day.
Eat at least two servings of legumes a day.
Cut way back on meat and dairy

  • There really is not magic diet. Eat less and exercise more. It is boring, but it works.

  • it has to be a lifestyle change if you want to lose it AND keep it off. Eating whole foods, drinking water, getting rest, walking, weight training, there is a whole package of things you need to do to make it really work and last.
