  • It would depend on the season. I would walk in good weather, but I would drive in cold or rainy weather.

  • I drove them when they went to public school until we moved less than a block from the school, then they walked. Now, the walk from their room to the school room. LOL

  • If we lived within a mile they would walk, just as I did. But we don't My children's school is 7 miles away, which necessitates their need to take the school bus.

  • We DO live within a mile and drive all 3 trips every day - because we also have to go another mile per trip to pick up my nephew and niece and transport them to school. It's 3 trips because nephew and dd are in 1st and 3rd grades, respectively... so they go all day. Niece and son are both in morning pre-k and we take the kids all together and pick son and niece up at 10:30. If we get the new placement DHS has asked us about - we'll have 4 trips a day because new foster daughter will go to afternoon pre-k - lol
