Funny words kids have for things....

Any thing funny you'd like to share? Things you used to say as a child or anyone else you knew?

My son would call potatoes...POP tatoes
Hamburgers was... HamGAMburgers

My sister would call peanuts....Pee-bah-bombs we dont know why! LOL We think it was for peanut butter and jelly!

Also.....Sea shells were called shebils ( sounds like pebbles! )
A car horn was called a hoa-den

  • lol my son calls his underwear nutterwear
    popcorn is popitcorn and whatever bird he sees he calls them chicken nuggets since he saw some chickens and my husband said they are chickens so now everybird is a chicken nugget
    burritos are rittos

  • when she was about 2-3..she couldnt say "beautiful" but she would say "E-YOUUU-BUBBLE"
    and in the summer we would look up at the sky and watch all the "marshmallow clouds" go by..but she would call them "son-o-mo-clouds"

    my niece used to call french fries "shy-yize"

  • My oldest daughter had just turned two when our first son came along. She couldn't pronounce brother so she called him "butter"! Which was perfect, since at almost two months premature he weighed a whopping 10lbs, 2ozs! We thought someone got the date wrong or I had pregnancy diabetes, but no! He had underdeveloped lungs, jaundice, all the normal preemie stuff! He would have been a whopping 13-14 lber. OUCH!!

  • When I was little I used to call Salmon-SAL MAN. My parents were shocked that I loved it so much and I used to order it at the resteraunts and parents said the waitresses used to SMILE and a small chuckle followed. MY son called spaghetti -pasketti.
