Single friends and married friend conversations

Ok so i love my married friends but I notice at slow points in the conversation I want to talk about something risque and doesnt seem apporpriate amoung them. Now I could have the same question with my single friends andfeel more comfortable bring uip the topic/question.

Why do married people give off that no sex vibe? lol

  • A lot of my friends are single and the married ones look like I have insulted them talking about sex.

  • I don't know why. My single freinds and I talk about sex just as much as before.

  • Seriously? I hope that's not true. I've been married for 22 years....no problem with "risque" conversation, in fact I think it's fun!! I have "risque" conversations with both my married and single friends.....sometimes I learn something new....and maybe sometimes they do I hope!!!

Just look around here at cafemom and the number of 'sex' questions, and groups that are on here.....it's not just the single moms in the conversations!!

  • I don't know, I can talk about sex with my married friends much more openly than my single friends. Maybe that's because after being married for so long, there really isn't anything else to hide!!

  • I think it just might be your friends... lol

I've been married 25 years, and fully participate in and enjoy risque' conversations with my friends, and my married friend also participate in those types of conversations as well.

If you look around CM and check out the sex questions, more married women and women who have been married for long periods of time, can be and usually are (lol) far more graphic and open in regards to sex and sexuality.

  • Because sex between a married couple is very sacred, and private!
