If you aren't married, why have you not gotten married?

I read post sabout women being together for 10 years. Or the baby's daddy leaving. I guess I just don't understand why someone would want to be a in a relationship, without being truly committed.

  • He hasn't proposed to me yet. We've not been together long enough - 21 months and his divorce was final 5 months ago. I don't think he is ready and I'm very patient. The time will come.

Its not about having an elaborate wedding. Its about being commited to each other. We got married by the JP and will have a nice renewal of vows hopefully for out 10th, in Hawaii.

  • We plan on getting married someday. But we both agree that we want that day to be after we are financially stable and possibly can afford to own our own place.

  • Many American guys take FOREVER to mature. Mine took like 8 years to propose--by then I was so over it. Sad but true.

  • Becuase it's not important to me. I don't need a ceremony or a piece of paper to tell me that we are committed for life. Eventually we will be married just so I can have the same last name as my family, but that's the only reason I care at all.
