  • In my favorite books and series, I like to have the hardcovers. But I prefer to tote around and read paperbacks. I don't feel guilty about banging them up and dogearing pages, etc.

  • Whatever I get from the library. I always had a preference for paperbacks too though.

  • Paperback for me. If I own a book in hardback and love it and will reread it several times, then I will buy a paperback copy too.

  • It depends. Mostly with random books I buy myself, I prefer paperbacks, but when I'm getting books from the library or getting editions of books I love, I prefer hardbacks.

  • I usually do paperbacks unless its one of the ones I just "have" to have right away. But I just recently got a nook and I am loving the having all the books I buy taking up the space of 1 book.

  • if I buy them, paperbacks & if I get them from the library, hardcover. If they are mine I don't mind them getting a little beat up from being carted around but when they belong to the library it's easier to keep them in good shape if they are hardcover.
