  • I tested a bajillion recipes because I am super picky...the best one I could find was by Martha Stewart. The only sucky part is that it calls for a bunch of different kinds of cheese. I don't do it though. I just put cheddar in and nobody even notices. :)

  • We make this a lot, just double it or triple it to make however much you need

    boil 1 cup macaroni

melt 1 TBS butter. Mix in 1 TBS flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper.
Add 1 Cup milk and bring to a boil, stir frequently. Let boil for 1 minute then turn off the heat.
Stir in 1/2 cup grated cheese (I use cheddar, or sometimes a mix of several cheeses)

Pour the cheese sauce over the macaroni in a baking dish. Sprinkle some more grated cheese on top.
Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.

  • 1/2- 3/4 box pasta of choice, 3oz velveeta (more or less to taste), 2oz shredded colby jack or cheddar, 1/8 cup milk, 2T butter, dash pepper. Put the butter, milk, velveeta and pepper in the pan stirring often until the velveeta melts then add the shredded cheese and stir until melted. Add pasta, mix well and enjoy!

  • Ok here's the one I make and everyone in my family requests it at family functions/ dinners -

first boil a box(1 lb) elbow macaroni according to directions
in a pot pour 3 cups of milk
    heat til hot (not boiling)
add 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese ( I prefer sharp but u could use mild depending on ur taste )
    stir til fully melted
add a few dashes of garlic powder, black pepper and if u want a small dash of mustard powder (that's if u want but not important)
in separate bowl scramble 1 egg
temper egg by stirring a little of the hot cheese mixture in to the egg
add egg mixture in to cheese and stir well
    turn off heat
stir in macaroni and 1 cup cheddar cheese
pour macaroni and cheese mixture into a 13x9 inch glass casserole dish
top with about a cup of cheddar cheese and bake at 375 for 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown at the top cool for about 15 minutes. And enjoy!

  • I just wing it! It's a routine lunch for my kids since it's like the only thing they will eat.

Boil about half a box of elbow macaroni, drain. Add in 1 tbsp. butter and stir until melted. Add 1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese and about 1/4 cup milk, stir. Turn on the heat again if you need help melting the cheese......add more cheese to thicken, add more milk to thin. Salt to taste (I don't add salt for the kids, they don't need the excess sodium).

  • You'd have to cut the recipe down to how much you want to make......just figure it out for how much you are making. Not as many eggs...etc.....but THIS is awesome! My family LOVES this! I just use like 2 eggs in mine, with 3 boxes of pasta noodles.....and eyeball everything else!    Sweetie Pies in St. Louis's Mac and Cheese!!!

  • This is the best!

    All Day Macaroni and Cheese

    8 ounces elbow macaroni
4 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
    1 1/2 cups milk
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

In a large pot, cook the macaroni in boiling
water 10 minutes, or until al dente, and drain.

In a large bowl, mix the cooked macaroni,
3 cups of the sharp Cheddar cheese, evaporated
milk, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper.

Transfer to a slow cooker that has been coated
    with non-stick cooking spray.

Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of shredded
    sharp Cheddar cheese.

Cover, and cook on Low for 5 to 6 hours, or until
the mixture is firm and golden around the edges.

Do not remove the cover or stir the mixture until
    the mixture has finished cooking.

    Serve warm.
