What is the meaning of your child/ren's names?

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and not really thinking about names too much yet...but I'm just curious what you all decided to name your children? why did you pick the name you picked? and what is the meaning of the name?

  • My oldest is Kristen Alexandra which means Christ bearer Enlightenment.
    My oldest son is Vincent Gavin which means Invincible white hawk
    My 3rd well his name isnt so cool we just picked it on the fly Taylor Hayden
    My 4th & 5th both have family names.

  • Isabella Mary Louise, our 9 year old daughter.

    Isabella is beautiful, her own unique name
    Mary is paternal grandmother
    Louise is maternal grandmother

    With adding her last name it is very long yet beautiful.

  • Vincent Edward Alfons - my S/O's favourite movie character, and two grandfathers to honour. We're expecting Dean Holliday now - I got to have a little more fun with that one. James Dean and Doc Holliday! :D

  • Joseph Ray- It was my Great Grandfathers Middle name, middle name Ray, it was his Biodads middle name.
    Jacob Arthur- Our oldest picked it, and we liked it, Mddle name Arthur after his late Paternal Grandfather
    Lucas Charles- I picked it because I took care of a little boy named Lucas and he was precious, I loved the little boy, and the name. Middle name Charles, it was my late Fathers middle name.

  • My DD is Cali-Grace Faye.
    Cali is short for California Grace is a southern name we liked and Faye is mi MIL's middle name :).

  • william thomas jonathan jackson........ named for famous civil war general, and william after his father

    james stuart....... famous civil war general...

    and if we have more same thing unless they are girls they they will be named LaDonna and blakley, after my grand mother and great grandmother

  • Kaydence - Mean's music =)
    Kyleigh - I picked Kyleigh, because I wanted my kids' names' to start w/ the same letter, so I got inspired from the Kardashians =)
    Kaydence, Kyleigh, if I have another girl it will be Kendall, if it's a boy it will be ... yikes I DONT KNOW!!! lol

    Ella - Spanish For "Young Girl" or "Fairy Queen" Depends on where you find the meaning.
    Matteo - Italian For "Gift From God" a Form of Matthew

    Sophia - Greek For "Wisdom" Marie - French for "Sea of Bitterness" Or "Blessed One" a form of Mary
    Claudia - Latin for "Lame" Jane - English for "God is Gracious"
    Christophe - Greek for "Christ Bearer" This is pronouced Cris Tophe.. as it is the french spelling. Louie - English for "Famous Warrior" a form of Louis...

    Now that i think of it.... For non Religious parents.. we sure have alot of biblical or biblical reference names!
