  • Even asking a business owner/manager if they are hiring count as making a contact.

  • Just make a contact call to places or re-apply at places you have already applied to. They just need to see that you are making an honest effort in your job search. I think I re-applied to certain places 3 or 4 times just trying to get something. List all those calls, emails, and on-line apps on the form.

  • You can certainly send unsolicted resumes and cover letters to businesses you would like to work for.

    If you don't make the required job searches, you will be ineligible to collect unemployment compensation.
