Do you buy used clothing for your children?

Just a random question really. We do, my children don't mind it since it looks new and we really hate waste. We then re-donate those clothes if they're still worth donating and anything we have bought new.

How about you?

  • Yes, I shop the second hand stores & local thrift shops, and when I do buy new, it's almost always on sale. I will not buy second hand shoes or boots, though.

  • I honestly don't buy much clothing, new or used. I have 2 nieces who are 5 and 9, and we get A LOT of their hand me downs. Every time I visit, or every time a package is sent, my mom usually tosses in some of the clothes the girls have out grown. I dunno what we're gonna do if I ever have a boy, lol. It's nothing but girls on my side of the family, and dd is the only grand child on dh's side.

  • Not just for my kids!

I love second hand clothes --hand-me-down, thrift store and consignment store stuff. I have a lot of designer clothes and accessories I certainly would never have paid full price for.

My kids still love hand-me-downs, probably because they never HAD to have them, they GOT to have them. They always loved knowing who else had worn things, and getting to wear the clothes from the people they liked and admired.

  • I do love it for play clothes that are going to get ruined any way. But i donate lots of my sons clothes also seeing he grows like a weed.

  • Yes. There are some really nice second hand stores. Consignment shops where they are name brand and must be in good condition are just as good as new clothes.
