  • when did you have it? How old is the person having this? Takes a week or so, depends a lot on age and how fast you heal. Older people don't heal as fast and so it takes a while.

  • I know it is much harder for adults than children...My 7 year old had is tonsils and adnoids out last year..they were HUGE!! It was a two week healing process and he ate popsicles, yogurt, and pudding the first few days..I'd say about 5 - 7 days for an adult.

  • The older you are the harder it gets. My GD had it done at age 3 and in 2 weeks she was back on a full regular diet. My son had his out at 14 and he was still having some pain at a month and had to be careful about rough or dry foods. He drank a lot of milkshakes.

  • I was 14 when I had mine done. I had to wait 2 weeks. Which became 4 weeks because I didnt listen to my doctor and I ate chips before my 2 weeks were up and hemorrhaged..
