Question?

Do girls normally slow down growing when they start puberty? When do girls typically stop growing? I have an 11 year old daughter that is 4'10 1/2. She is starting to go through puberty. How much more growing in heigth can I expect?

  • I don't think she's going to grow much more. Probably 4 - 5 inches at the most.

  • My daughter started her cycle right around her 10th birthday she is now 13 and has grown about 3 inches since she started. She is just over 5ft. I am only 4 11 so I didn't expect her to be tall.

  • She might not stop growing until she's 18-20, or she might stop growing in late middle school to mid high school. That's when most of the girls I know stopped growing, myself included (as well as my family). Boys however, can continue growing until their mid twenties (jeez I hope DH has finally stopped...he's already 6'8").
