  • See the crosshairs? They aim at PEOPLE.

Actually, they aim at the approximate location of the congressional districts in those states. There are no people on that second map, there are names of representatives of targeted districts. Now, if you want to keep insisting that is the same as aiming at people, fine. But I'd say a picture aiming at people would look a lot more like

But, of course, only a conservative would ever do that, right?

  • I don't see either as inciting violence. They are maps denoting voting districts and seats that will be up for grabs. Are we such a sensitive country that we can't understand that simple fact, or are we simply trying to blur the line to assign blame on one side or the other? The guy is crazy, it has nothing to do with the maps.

  • They are targeting STATES, not people. Palin 's little map mentioned people . Palin's map with the "cross hairs" named names.....including the Rep from Arizona who was shot yesterday.

  • I love how the media plays into our hands. I don't like Palin, but it wasn't Palin that pulled the trigger. Why does Palins name continually come up when something happens? Do people really think this man studied her map and decided this was his mission?

Well said Quinn, but some like the drama of blame. They just can't accept that the guy was nuts. No drama in it.

  • It says the same thing as Sarah. Take the people out of office with a VOTE.

Unless you have advanced knowledge of this man and his thought process and mental status in regards to ANY political information that he may have obtained, how could you say what the trigger was or was not? Common sense indicates that none of us really knows either way- so those who say it is NOT politically significant are speculating just as much as those who believe the contrary. Unless, of course, someone here has actual knowledge with regards to this case.

  • Sarah's map does not have the crosshairs over people. They are on the states and the congress persons name for that state is listed. Big deal.

  • Unfortunately, 1 map is indicative of a location where a AZ rep and a federal judge + others were gunned down yesterday. The other map does have the same associated tragedy-

Just the facts as they stand- no guilt assigned.

Not really, behavioral science is pretty accurate on this type of thing.
