Has anyone here had an early response HPT be wrong...

when you were already late????

I'm at 4-5 days late now...all negative, one with what may have been an evap line...

I'm not testing again until I'm a full week past due, but just curious how often it actually occurs because I was hoping to start working out again today...

  • I've never seen a false positive, but I have seen false negatives.

  • Okay...I'm not hoping I AM per se...but if I am, I'd rather leave it be and accept a new baby than do some sit ups and cause a miscarriage...KWIM? Guess I'll wait til I know one way or another. *sigh*

  • You can still work out with out hurting the baby. Just do not over do it. Just do cycling, yoga, pilates something low impact.

  • I normally go walking since I know 100% that is safe...but we have about 3 inches of snow outside. :-(

  • Well...there wasn't really a "positive" there was a very very very very faint line...I mean put it in a shadow and it was gone. So I know if it WAS a line, it was a +...but it could have also been the strip in the back...and I'm still not sure. The test after that one was negative...but still no sign of aunt flo.

  • If there was a faint line I'd test again in a couple days like you said. Early tests might not be as "reliable" as they say....like in the commercials, they say something like 80% of women get results 5 days sooner......so just try again a negative HPT doesn't always mean your'e not pregnant!

  • Both times I was pregnant the first test was negative...and then I tested a few days later and they were postive...I was 10 days late for my period both times when I got a positive....if thats helpful at all :-) Good luck to you
