  • my oldest is 5 and yes he was writing his name by my youngest is 3 and a half and I don't see name writing in the near future for depends on the child :)

  • Yes, my oldest did at 4, he is almost 6 now. My son who is 4 now does not write his name yet, but he also has Down Syndrome...each child is different and will write their name in their own time.

  • My 3 year old can rite some of the letter but they aren't clear so I think by 4 she will be able to. DS could not write his name alone until close to 5.

  • Yes. My son just turned 5. He writes his first, middle and last name. We are working on upper and lower case because I know they want that for kindergarten.

  • Mine does, I thought she was ahead of the curve (don't we all) but apparently not :-P We taught her at home and she does really well learning her letters with these dry erase things made by meade. I got them at walmart and we can just wipe it off and practice over and over. :-)

  • My DD started writing letters at age 3, her name and other words at 4. My DS is going to be 4 in March and does not. I think all kids are different.

  • Yes. She also writes letters that aren't in her name all on her own. We're working on scaling them down now.
