Who else has tried Classical Stretch - with Miranda Esmonde?

                             I've gone back to this show, after being away for a couple of years.

Sometimes if  I'm not watching the screen, I get behind -- once in a while she forgets to tell the viewers to change sides; but her techniques are really great for strength and flexibility.

                            What I love most is not having to work up a sweat.  I hate sweating.

  • I have never tried this but I don't feel like I get a good work out unless I do sweat.

  • It's on PBS. Since my cable gets several PBS stations, I have several times in the day that I can find it.

    You don't get the same cardio as when you work up a sweat, but with strength training you put on muscle - which ups your metabolism. Also, with the stretching that follows all the strength work, you don't develop big muscles. Her workout is a combination of ballet, tai chi, pilates and yoga.

  • I lost 50 lbs after my last baby with just walking (2 miles a day), riding my health rider (20-30 mins 3-5 times a week) and watching what I ate. You don't HAVE to sweat. :-)
