I thought you were suppose to lose weight breastfeeding, I haven't lost anything! lol wtf?

  • You can't lose weight if you're eating more calories than you're burning, period. Breastfeeding isn't magic, it relies on the same physics as the rest of the universe. It burns calories, but so does sleeping --if you're eating more than you need to, you will not lose weight.

  • Not everyone does.
    And what a previous post said .. you can't lose weight if you're eating more calories then you're losing.
    Don't depend on breastfeeding to lose weight. Eat right and excersise.

  • Very true! The first poster is right. I did a moderate amount of exercise and eat kinda healthy. In 6 months I lost 40 lbs and become 165 lbs. I was 180 /185 lbs when I got pregnant the first time and weighted 205 lbs at full term.

  • I eat the same as i did when i was pregnant and didnt gain anything i lost 22lbs when i first got pregnant and was still 5lbs under at full term what i weighted before. Im just kinda stuck, i chase my kids all day and clean. i dont think i eat that bad. guess i just need to watch myself more then i thought and exercise more

  • You burn an average of 500 calories a day nursing. I lost all my leftover babyweight and then some immediately. I know the breastfeeding helped, but so did eating very healthy.
