  • Honestly? I'd rather give her permission than have her sneak out or try to do it behind my back. Therefore, at 16 she might be allowed to go to such things if she wants to. She really doesn't have interest in that sort of thing though, and neither do her friends. I wouldn't like it, but I'd much rather know what she's up to and to let her know that if she gets in a bind (drinking, etc) and needs a ride home, she can call me with no questions asked, at least not until the next morning when we'd have a loooog discussion about things and decide what to do from there.
