At what age did your child/children feel embarrassed by you?

They all go through this, right?

  • Mine are 19, 20, 23 and 24 and if they were ever embarassed by us we never knew it. They have always loved going out with us to do things, as teens and now as adults. They have never been embrassed to give me or their dad a hug in public and they have never been embrassed to horse around with their dad in public (which they still do). Most of their friends, though, are embarassed to be around their parents. I don't know what we did differently but I am sure glad that they like being around us and aren't embarassed by us.

  • I don't know. My oldest is 6 almost 7 and still gives me a big hug and a kiss on the lips in front of his class mates. So I'm not sure when we will get to that embarrassed stage.
