  • Food allergies. Probably something like milk or wheat/gluten.

  • Could be lack of fluids, could be an allergy, could just be her diet in general.
    What does she eat?

  • Monitor her diet closely and track when the stools are different. The easiest item to eliminate is dairy. If that makes a difference she is either lactose intoelrant or sensitve to dairy. If there is no change start eliminating other food types and go from there...

  • Give her some mierlax (SP?) My DD has the same problem, she gets half a scoop every morning, and then I don't need to worry about changing a dirty diaper every 5 minutes. I had a problem with that the other night, she went through 20 diapers in an hour, because she pooped every 5 minutes.

  • My pediatrician told me to add a tsp or so of dark Karo syrup to my daughter's drink to help loosen her stool. My pediatrician has nine children of her own besides her chosen profession, so I take her word as gospel. It worked for my daughter. Use peppermint for an upset stomach. I use certs.
