Being green V.S. Being Thrifty

Which side of the coin are you on?

CFL bulbs: cause they are green or they are cheaper to use?

Recycle: habit or attempting to save the landfills?

Temperature: 65 to save or 72 and the hell with it?

What tricks or tips do you have that you can share with all of us?

  • Both
Light save the landfills, now it's a habit that drives others nuts, lol.
Temperature...lower when the kids are gone, but 70 when they're home.

One fun tip. We recycle a lot into our "art corner".Tthe kids love making art out of glue, cans, caps, and such.

  • I do my best to do both!
I use CFL lights because they last longer and cost less to run.
I recycle because it's the right thing to do and the city picks up our recycling curbside so there is little effort in doing it.
The thermostat is at 72 because I am cold!
