how do you help your baby catch their breath if inhaled some water

for example bath time. this is a fear of mine so i just want to know just in case

  • Just keep in mind if there maiking noise there breathing....Just stay calm and dont freak out the calmer you are the calmer baby is and the better it will go... I would just do a little back rubbing maybe a pat or two and some TLC.

  • Their bodies' reflex responses take care of everything... you just need to avoid making it worse.

    Lift them out of the water, allow them to bend over slightly because it makes coughing easier and resist the urge to pat their backs (which forces the water to settle lower in the lungs)... if they lose consciousness, lay them down in the recovery position and call 911. (unless you're in the UK, in which case, it's 999)
