Do you ever...

Use the aloe plant for when you get burned in the kitchen? I burned my hand grabbing the handle of a pan I had just taken out of the oven, it was red and hurting like crazy. Went outside cut a leave off the plant and split it in half and rubbed the gooey substance against my burn, ten minutes later the red and the hurt was gone!!! no blisters or anything! i am in awe at the healing power of this plant, have you ever tried it?

  • WHen my daughter was working at a fast food restaurant, a ton of french fry hot oil spilled on her arm. The manager rushed over with a bottle of mustard ,squirted a bunch on her arm and within a half hour, her arm was perfect. No redness, no burn.
So,I think both Aloe and regular mustard work. I have tried the Mustard trick too and I can say for sure that it works.

  • I learned it when I first got in the restaurant business. I wondered why they all had aloe plants as a decoration, then found out one day, when a cook got a bad burn on his inner arm from pulling an oven rack out, that it was for burns. After that I kept it at home. It's great, leaves no scar. I've never heard of mustard as a cure.
