  • some babies are just small. My son was 14 lbs at 2 months. My neice was 14 lbs. at a year old. I'd say if your Pediatrician isn't worried you shouldn't be either.

  • Your daughter is 36 inches long?!? My son is 9 months, 22 lbs, and not quite 29 inches long. If your baby is only 14 lbs & 36 inches, yes, I would worry. Talk to your pediatrician & see what he/she says. If the doctor doesn't seem concerned & you think that your child is fine, then I'm sure she is!

  • My daughter is almost 11m and weights 18lbs and is 28in long. They havent said anything about a worry to me. If your daughter is eating and active then you really dont need to worry.

  • Did you mean to write 26 inches. 36 inches at 6 months is off the charts. Are you and your husband tall? If the doctor is not concerned then you should not be.

  • As long as you're taking her in for her regular checkups and your doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't worry!

  • I'm guessing you mean 26 inches. As long as she is gaining weight and not loosing it, I'm sure you don't have to worry. Talk to her doctor at the next appointment.

BTW, my twins are almost 1 year and are 16 and 18 lbs, 25 and 27 inches. They are considered to be 10 months on the growth because they were early. The doctors are not concerned at all, and they certainly see a lot of doctors.
