More socialization

My Little One is 4. She goes to preschool 5 mornings a week, swimming lessons 2 afternoons a week and dance once a week. In addition, she has dinner with family friends one evening and spends the afternoon and night with her cousins once a week. Her uncle, aunt and cousins usually visit on Sunday afternoon. This is regular and there is always the birthdays and other activities that happen birthday parties, movies, ballets, eating outm etc.
My husband thinks we need to have more outings and play times for her. By the way she still takes a two hour nap, and really needs it. She goes to bed at 8:30 and gets up at 8:00.
What do you think?

  • What else really could you add to a 4 yr olds dance card..... night school?

I think she is pretty social as it is. Is there something he has in mind?

  • I'm surprised her head hasn't exploded.

This is an enormous schedule for a person who's been alive for less than 60 months.

  • I think she has enough on her plate imo. My son is 6 and doesn't do nowhere near that! Kids should be allowed to be kids. They will have plenty of time to be told what to do(working) as adults.

  • Seems like she is getting more than enough socialization, maybe too much!

  • She is fine. Don't overload her any more than she is doing now.

  • Thank you all for saying what I know. I tell him how important it is for a child be able to entertain themselves. I love our time together cooking or she will work at her desk while I work at mine.
