Weight loss

I really want to loss the weight I have gained with both of my kids. I'm a stay at home and need some help! Please share tips, workout dvd's, and anything else. Thanks!!!!!

  • ughh u and me both. i gained so much weight with my 2 month old. but Jillian Michaels has some of the best workout dvds. shes an amazing instructor. ive been using her workouts for nearly 2wks now and ive dropped 10lbs with eating right and working out to her videos when i get the chance to

  • i always start with reducing the amount of food i put in my plate, or getting a smaller plate so that not much food can be served.

  • I swear by Jillian Michaels also! Here are some of her videos:

    30 Day Shred (requires weights) (120 min...broken down into 20 minute workouts)
    Banish Fat Boost Metabolism (no equipment needed) (55 minutes)
    No More Trouble Zones (requires weights) (50 minutes)
    Shape Up (requires weights and step) (25 minutes)

    I've done them all. The Shape Up workouts are the easiest. No More Trouble Zones and Banish Fat are both hard core, but No More Trouble Zones is a little harder because you use weights. THe 30 Day Shred has some tough moves, but if you only do one level at a time it's not too hard.

  • i would suggest to start with walking or dvd's. i don' t have any dvds, i get most the exercise i need chasing my 3 under 3... lol!

  • My weight loss (137 lbs in one year) has been a result of a three-part lifestyle change:

    1. Fitness: I like the Wii fit, going for walks, the different dance games for the Wii, take the stairs whenever possible and park a little further away for the extra walk. It will add up!

    2. Nutrition: I always eat the protein portions of my meals first, then veggies, then starches (learn the difference between starches and veggies ie. corn = starch, not veg.). I don't deny myself a bite or two of something sweet, I just try to never eat the whole thing. Denying yourself will just make you crave it more. Eat high protein snacks (protien bars, almonds, beans, Greek yogurt (I actually use a brand called Carbmasters but you can only get it at Kroger or Fred Meyer), and lots of water.

    3. Happiness: Try to live as stress-free as possible. Cut out stressful relationships, count your blessings, try not to complain, etc
