  • Mine get 1 hour on Saturdays. They are 8 and 6. I have a 2-year-old, but he doesn't watch television.

  • 1-2 hours per day.

  • Mine watch a lot compared to most. Some days it is more then others, usually they watch educational shows so I don't mind, we usually watch TV together as a family and talk through most of the shows. My kids are 13, 11 and 9 and some days they watch maybe 3 hours. They don't just sit and watch TV straight through though. We may watch a show and then play a game or go outside, then watch another show.

For me TV has never been a bad thing, when they were little the TV was always on even though they weren't watching, I would put music channels on and different things like that. I think everyone needs to do what is best for their family, my sister only lets her kids watch maybe 1/2 hour of TV a day.

  • I run a daycare, the TV is on all day long. I have kids 20 weeks to 3 yo and I have never actually seen them watch it, they play with toys, color, nap but never actually sit and watch it

  • No TV on weekdays, unless it is a special day like a snow day. 1 hour a day on weekends and vacations.

  • Right now (They're 1 and 2) as much as they want. They stay active and don't stay glued to the TV unmoved. They're active and we play games, interact with one another by counting and saying our ABC's, and all kinds of stuff. The TV is usually just background noise, but they definately get their fill. When school age comes around it'll change with how much they watch though. For the simple fact that their attention should be mainly on school acitivities. However, I have a few years before that. My kids mainly watch educational TV, so they definately gain a lot of information from that.

  • As much as they want. I don't put limits like that on my kids. They self-regulate their time.
