  • I believe it is because of mercury and therefore should be very limited or avoided completely.

  • In moderation. No more than 2-3 servings a week. Because of the possibility of mercury contamination, as the PP said.

  • You can have 1-2 servings of Chunk Light tuna per week.

You should avoid Albacore tuna because it's higher in Mercury levels than the canned Chunk Light

  • As far as the canned stuff, my doc told me it's best to avoid it altogether. Don't take any chances. As far as real fish and stuff, the way my doc put it...river fish are fine and great protein, but deep sea fish are a no-no. If you're not sure which fish are which, do a little research or look in a "Joy of Cooking" book. It tells you all about fish!
