  • Marriage is one of the hardest things you will ever experience, but it's also one of the most fulfilling. Don't expect anything to change overnight, and learn to have all of the patience in the world.

  • Don't go into a marriage thinking you can change the person. You won't be able to. Accept them for the way they are or don't get married to them.

  • One thing is you have to listen to each other. The next if you argue give it a break and allow one of you to walk away until you both have time to think.

  • That marriage takes work.

  • That before you get married, sit down and really think about the person you're marrying and if he/she is the one for you. To go in with your eyes wide open to the fact that this is the person that you will spend the rest of your life with and are you willing to accept the better and the worse part of marriage? That the man/woman you are marrying will not change just because YOU married them...Are you willing to make sacrafices? Are you willing to deny yourself for the happiness of another? Can you or better yet are you able to love without limits?

  • Trust is one of the most important things in a marriage, really in any relationship. If you don't have trust you don't have anything.
