Food Map - Is it accurate for your state?

I came across this clever food map on Laughing Squid. I thought they nailed NY with the pizza.

Is your state's food accurate? I was expecting garlic or artichokes for California not grapes.

  • It looks like Virginia is bacon. That must refer to Smithfield Pigs, hams etc.
We are also big with peanuts, chickens on the Eastern shore and fish farms.

  • I was going to say no, I've lived in Oregon for well over 20 years and was never aware that hazelnuts are a big crop. I googled it though and I guess we do pretty well with them. LOL

  • I suppose Indiana is popcorn because of Orville Reddenbacher. I don't really think that is representative of the state though.

  • I think Iowa is hamburger. Yes we have a lot of cows, but I don't particularly care for hamburger myself.
